Our Telegraph cucumbers and Snack Cucs (mini cucumbers) are grown in a sustainable way locally in Pukekohe, Auckland.
They are not genetically modified.
We are constantly seeking to produce cucumbers in the most ecological and environmental-friendly way ...so they are fresh and wholesome...from plant to your plate!
Our cucumbers are grown in a sustainable manner in high-tech glasshouses (the size of a rugby field and 5 metres high). Our growing methods employ the latest biotechnology.
We use a natural pest control method known as Integrated Pest Management (IPM). This system uses natural parasites and predators, hence harmful pests tend to stay away...and the positive spin is minimal pesticides and fungicides (less chemical interventions and spraying).
We collect rain water in a pond; recycle the waste (drain) water and use natural gas. Each plant is enriched with CO2. We have computerised control systems installed to enable exact climate control conditions by monitoring water, heating, ventilation and respiration of the plants. So each cucumber you eat from us is carefully grown, taking into account the sustainability of the environment at each step.
Our cucumbers are subject to strict monitoring and regulations. The owner-operator* has made it a top priority to comply with many NZ food standards and compliance acts, so you can have confidence in the product you buy from us!! Some accreditation standards are not mandatory by growers but this company has ensured that we attain the highest regulation in the vegetable industry. This ensures the highest quality end product to you.
